In order to properly protect against further spread of the Coronavirus, please visit https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/ for further information, including how to protect yourself from possible infection and how the virus is spread.

If you believe you may have the Coronavirus, please DO NOT come into the practice. Please visit https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 to check your symptoms. The website will provide further direction based on your symptoms and travel history.

Test Results e.g. bloods, x-rays, scans

test_vials2When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. Please bear this in mind and call the surgery after 11:00 once sufficient time has elapsed to find out your result.

If your result is 'normal' and no further action is required, we do not routinely contact you to let you know your results.

If you are unregistered we will direct you back to your own registered GP if you live locally or book you as a temporary resident with us if you are on holiday or staying away from home with a registered patient of ours or in a hotel. Your own GP managing your tests is much better for your continuity of care and management of any abnormal results or follow ups.

Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results therefore it is your responsibility to check them and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
